Yo yo yo today is the first day locking in. I've begun my first project which is making a photo etching of myself as a paper doll that I'm going to turn into a stop motion, so I've got a lot to do team. My goals for today are to create my layout on Photoshop, print my transparencies, and possibly make my test plate. I came in on Sunday to coat two plates since school was closed Monday, so now I'm competing with the clock! uh oh.

Ok, so basically I overshot by a lot with my goals. I have a bad habit of doing that. I finished my paper doll page in Photoshop and thought it was lacking, so I collaged a background which also helped give it more meaning. It's about being able to create who you are and the weight that has on you when you’re young. It's scary growing up, but I'm still young and there's so much time to figure it all out. I wanted to blend the fear of getting older with a childlike "craft" of paper dolls.
